Elephant In Exile

Hmmmm...So Washington DC has it's first hydrogen only gas station...how very Jetson's of us. I don't know much about alternative fuels, but I do know that this hydrogen fuel thing is kind of a non-starter for the moment. Yes hydrogen burns clean, as they like to say, but it takes a tremendous amount of energy to produce the hydrogen to begin with, likely much more energy than the hydrogen yeilds. Anyone know anything about this stuff?
