Elephant In Exile

It has been a wonderful Saturday here in DC. Sunny, fallish and in the 70's. So, after running around doing my chores I headed over to the Washington Animal Rescue League. I volunteer on weekends to 'socialize' (i.e. walk, pet and play) with dogs in the kennel. So anyway, I go to a cage to get out Gillian, an adorable shepared mix who shares an 'apartment' with Daisy a bassett hound. None of the dogs had been out yet today so they were pretty exited. I get the leash around Gillian and as I'm leaving the cage, Daisy makes a run for it. She was running up and down the rows of kennels with a look of dimented glee. I was laughing, but a full time staff lady yelled at me (I'm a volunteer so its not like they can fire me) Daisy, Gillian and I all had a great time running around shouting "Prison Break!"
