Schaffer: Greenspan on social security....can't meet all problems and pay ss without tax cuts or benefit cuts...
Kerry: Bush blew the surplus (He sure did!).........
(Hmmmm....these guys just aren't on fire tonight are they?!)
Bush: Bush is quite and soft spoken, I don't know what to make of this....tax cuts are good.....good I tell you! seems to be waking up a bit in defending his tax cut...I led...good better....maybe his best answer yet...OOPS! Major points off on fiscal sanity! (Bush has none)....

I actually agree with Bush on this issue...he's been good about bucking the immigration critics in the GOP and work to expand guest worker programs. But this is a loaded question for Bush, immigration issues split the party, but to be fair to Bush, he's actually shown some vision on this issue, but it divides his base.
Kerry: Good Tax cuts have been erased... ok now move on to the question....Bush broke his promise... flip/flop..earn program for those that are already here....
Bush: He doesn't know the borders?

QUESTION: Raise the minimum wage?
Kerry; $7/hr minimum wage...job killer people.... defaulting to the tax cuts....family values counter attack good!
Bush: I had a minimum wage bill in the Senate....awkward pause..defaulting to education issues...could easily be painted as out of touch on worker issues...Reading is a civil right (marriage isn't, but reading is..ok?)! He's got a small point, but seems to be going back to the first debate pattern on limited the topics on which he speaks..

Bush: I'll appoint judges that will interpret the constitution... duh..that's their job.
Kerry: I'll protect Roe v. Wade...
Both parties appealing to thier base...
