Chief Justice Dies

All things just keep getting sadder

80 year old Chief Justice Rehnquist died last night. Setting the stage for another 'conservative' appointment. His replacement is not as critical as that of Sandra Day O'Connor, but the realization of two vacancies will certianly throw a wrench in to nomination process. These are indeed strange times.

I do not agree that the money should have been removed from the 2003 budget but also at the same time I do not believe that the Levy Commission had any right to buy a Casino ,aircraft etc. prior to putting the money into the Levy.
Your first responders is local government. Than State than federal. That is why people are to told to keep at least a 3 day supply of necessities for emergencies on hand.

As Far as I can see, the Locals were prepared for three days. The feds dropped the ball when they dragged their feet in stepping up. But NOLA's notorious corruption, no doubt played a role...Good point.
